Sonatina No. 2 for Harpsichord (2003)
This piece won first prize in the Alienor International Harpsichord Composition Competition in 2004. It was selected as one of the required repertoire for the Sixth Mae and Irving Jurow International Harpsichord Competition in Denton Texas, 2007. This piece is inspired by impressionism and merges neo-classicism and polytonality. It also has Japanese sonority that imitates the sounds of the Koto (a Japanese stringed instrument that is plucked). World premiered at the University Club in St. Paul in 2003.
